Does JobScalr apply to jobs for me?
No, and that is deliberate. JobScalr helps you find fitting postings and tailors each application, but it never sends anything on its own and never fires off mass applications. You review every document and submit it yourself, so nothing leaves your hands without you deciding it should.
Which devices does it run on?
JobScalr is a mobile app for iPhone and Android. You run the whole search from your phone: browse postings, score how well you fit one, tailor your CV, and track where you have applied, all in one place.
Can I use my current CV?
Yes. Upload it as a PDF or DOCX and JobScalr reads the text itself, including the awkward multi-column, text-box, and table layouts that usually get scrambled. It then keeps your real content and re-shapes it toward one specific posting, following the CV conventions of the country you are applying in: a German CV keeps gap-free stations and usually a photo, a UK CV drops the photo and leads with skills.
Where do the job postings come from?
JobScalr pulls postings from several public sources at once, including Adzuna, company career boards like Greenhouse, Workable and Workday, and remote-job boards. Instead of a raw chronological list, each posting is ranked to your profile, so the ones that actually fit your target role and skills come first.
Do you guarantee a job or an interview?
No, and no honest tool would. Whether you get invited depends on the role, the market, and plenty of things no app controls. What JobScalr does is make your application sharper and show you honestly where you stand for a posting, including the gaps, so you spend effort where it counts.
Will it get me past the applicant tracking system (ATS)?
No tool can honestly promise that, and anyone selling an 'ATS-proof' CV is guessing. JobScalr writes a clear, well-structured application in standard formatting and points out where your profile is short of what the posting asks, so you can decide how to close the gap.
Does the AI make things up in my CV?
No, and that is built into how it works, not just a promise. If the posting wants a skill or detail you have not given it, JobScalr asks you instead of inventing one, and it only adds what you confirm. It re-positions and sharpens your real experience; it never fabricates employers, skills, or achievements.
What happens to my CV and my data?
Your CV text is encrypted at rest and tied only to your account, all traffic to the servers runs over TLS, and nothing is ever sold. You stay in control: you can delete everything you have stored at any time, straight from the app.
Do you use my data to train AI?
No. When you use an AI feature, only what that feature needs, your CV text and the job posting, is sent to our AI provider to produce the result. The provider processes it on our behalf and does not use it to train its models.

The AI features run on a paid subscription that comes with credits for the AI generations; you see the exact price in your App Store or Google Play, in your local currency, before you buy, and you can cancel anytime in your store settings.
